I wasn't sure when we'd get another Griffon or if I'd even get another pup right away.  But, as luck would have it, a hot July weekend when it was too icky to ride, I discovered an ad online advertising a litter of Griff puppies that were due to whelp in mid-August.  Not even 100% sure how I stumbled across the ad, but I imagine that Fate had it's hand in there.  I recognized the kennel names of the dogs in the ad and did some research on them.  The stud came from a fairly well known breeder in Minnesota, I felt it had a good solid background and passed it's OFA certification.  The dam came from a breeder in Montana and had lines very similar to Stone and Duncan.  In fact, the dam is a 'Niece' to Stone.

I contacted Kevin, got more information, emailed back and forth and finally decided to put a deposit on a male puppy.  Originally, I had wanted to get a female as I felt it would mesh better with Stone, but Mike had other ideas. 

We made a trek to Mound City, Missouri to meet up with Kevin and get our new pup.  Brought Stone along for the ride and to get the initial introduction done on neutral ground.  He did well and basically ignored Mojo.  Mojo was a bit overwhelmed with all the changes and voiced his opinion loudly in being put in a crate.  That lasted for about 10 minutes until Mike got him out and settled him on his lap.  Stone had to give up his goose down comforter so Mojo would have a nice comfy bed to sleep in.  I think he slept the entire 3 hours back home.

I brought a crate in and set it up in the bedroom.  The plan was to have the pup sleep in the crate instead of in the bed.  That lasted about 30 minutes until I caved and got him out.  He settled in next to me and slept the entire night.  Wish he would have kept that up, he now likes to get up at 3:30, 4:30 when the alarm goes off and then falls back asleep at 5:00 when my alarm goes off. 

Mojo has been going to work with me and is slowly being introduced to other dogs attending Bone Jour and to the staff.

This will be a fun adventure!
